The Specialty Machine
The VA388 Black Eagle is the espresso machine for all those who dedicate their lives to coffee; who study, research, and experiment every day to bring a real coffee experience to the cup. This is the official espresso machine for the World Barista Championship from 2018 to 2020.
High technology for espresso coffee extraction
Solid, consistent, and precise, the VA388 Black Eagle is much more than an espresso machine; it is an enhancement of every coffee blend and an expression of every barista.
Technology ensuring maximum temperature stability
In a professional coffee machine, temperature plays an extremely important role, as it strongly influences the quality of the espresso. A stable temperature guarantees an excellent and repeatable result. But how? Through studies, research, and working with the best baristas, a solution was found that controls every single parameter. This led to the creation of T3 technology, which allows the barista to set three temperatures: for the brewing group, water infusion, and steam. The result? Control over the thermal accuracy of the water supply, ensuring temperature stability and ultimately, a perfect espresso. This is achieved through an electronic system, with probes for temperature, pressure, and PID, managing every variable.
Innovative system preventing burns
Thermal insulation ensures the barista’s safety and offers better, easier cleaning for greater hygiene. The new “Cool-Touch” thermally insulated wand prevents burns and speeds up cleaning, making the machine safer and more efficient.
Real-time information displayed in LED
The VA388 Black Eagle "talks" to the barista, sharing all data provided by the T3 and gravimetric systems. The TFT display provides the barista with real-time information to help deliver the best espresso to the customer. Each group display shows the temperatures of the steam boilers, coffee group, the delivery time, and the amount of liquid in the cup.
The solution for barista wellness
The barista’s comfort is a priority, with designs that focus on safety and ease of use. One example is the “Push & Pull” drive system for the steam nozzle, which minimizes stress on the barista’s arms. This ensures the barista remains comfortable, no matter how many cappuccinos are made.
